Keeping to my new found love for flared garments, I just had to add this top to my growing collection. The bell sleeve silhouette is a hot trend and it’s the perfect style if you’re looking to make a fashion statement while keeping it fun yet dramatic. Matte Nolim is a visionary by taking this style and adding an ‘off the shoulder’ design. This makes the garment sexy yet elegant and the sleeves just steal the show giving you a well rounded aesthetic. Can we also talk about my sunnies from Backyard Vintage! Honestly my best buy this year and because any look of mine is not complete with out some edge, I threw the glasses in to give the look some attitude. The frayed skirt I got from Zara is another gem. There’s no denying that denim looks are leading in terms of trends and that side slit allows you to serve a little leg because why not!?
This shoot was a very interesting one because I knew I wanted to blog about this top, I just had NO idea how I was going to style it, so shoutout to the fashion god’s for leading me to Zara. Shooting in Toronto was such a joy and I’m so grateful to have been afforded that opportunity. I spent quite a bit of the early AM’s thinking introspectively about my life and my blog and where I really want to see myself in 5 years. We all need some time to sit down and think critically about our lives or you might get stuck in a rut just letting life happen to you. Me on the other hand, I’m just a girl with a dream and who knows, I might be going international doing what I love to do. There ain’t no tellin’.
PS: Creds to my mommy, she took these pics.
