There is no arguing that dusty pink is fast becoming a go-to colour and will have you looking bang on trend in an instant. I have to admit though that this was probably the first time I consciously wore something pink, deviating from my usual inclination to wear dark colours.
For the longest time I’ve been delaying this post because I’ve had nothing to say about this look other than that I really just LOVE this outfit. Writers block is a real thing also!
Keeping it clean is the fundamental rule when trying out a minimalist look. To be a minimalista, go for fits that have little detail and clean lines, also try to keep things somewhat monochromatic. Minimalist styles are all about unexpected proportions and don’t be afraid of mixing textures. All these elements add to the architectural influence of a minimalist look.
I’m pretty sure you might argue against my title and affirm that the saying actually goes as follows; “out with the old, in with the new.” I would then just remind you (if you’ve been following this blog) that we don’t dabble with convention around these parts.
So I’ve been meaning to try out this trend for a little while now (about a couple of years lol) ever since I saw it on Rihanna, but I just didn’t quite get it. Anyway Rih is like the Queen of slay so she can literally get away with what us plebeians can only dream of trying.
I thoroughly enjoyed this shoot and for the concept I thought I’d try out a sports luxe fit. This is my take on the look and I love all the pieces of this fit and I’m wearing one of my favourite jeans.
Okay first of all, this kimono-esque two-piece suit is everything and then some! I’m obsessed with the colour and crocodile skin detail. It oozes class and the wrap style jacket sets it apart from the conventional suit jacket.
Done with a little finesse, you can never go wrong with a denim to denim look. It’s a versatile look and you have the prerogative to dress it up or down! Oh yeah, and distressed denim items are always a good idea.
