Let’s touch base, shall we?
Okay, so I’ve been gone for what feels like forever and a day, and for those who have noticed I hope my absence can be reprieved.
Time flies when you’re having fun or stuck in a chaotic abyss. Alas, the latter was the case for me. I’ve really hated being gone for so long but even priorities have to be reshuffled from time to time. In an attempt to redeem myself, I’m going to give you guys a little breakdown of what’s been happening and the prospective modus operandi for the rest of the year.First of all, exams were a nightmare to say the least and even though I’m enjoying school to a certain extent, getting back into the swing of things has been quite the task. Taking a gap year before I pursued my postgraduate studies really got me into a comfortable routine that’s hard to break away from when the alternative offering is textbooks and journal articles. Unfortunately, there is money and time on the line so one just has to get on with it. On a different but more frustrating note, I ordered four pairs of boots in April that are all indefinitely stuck somewhere between customs or the post office- who even knows, so my entire winter wardrobe and planned posts are on stand-by while I wait. That was just a little anecdote of my fruitless attempt at adequately preparing myself for the cold months. Just when you think you have your act together, life shows you who’s really running the game.
However, in between all that drama, some great things have happened. Like I said in one of my previous posts, little things eventually crescendo into the bigger picture and with that said, I’m ready the second half of the year and now that my life resembles normalcy again, my posts will definitely be less infrequent.
Shoot more, post more. Repeat!
Sometimes life is nothing cute but here I am still navigating through it all, getting it right then getting it wrong then doing it all again…
C’est la vie.
Xo.
