I guess there really is a first time for everything, even if the reaction is a little delayed.
I never thought I’d see the day I wear mules but alas your girl likes things and these mules are, dare I say, cute! Luxurious is the other word I’d use as a descriptor owing to the pearls and the Rihanna poolside-lounging-in-a-silk-dress vibes I get from the shoe. To add to the out of character behaviour, I’m in kitten block heels!!! I’m always either strutting high on my heels or have the balls of my feet well acquainted with the ground. Never a mule, never a kitten heel, but I guess in this case the word never has become redundant.
Now even though mules aren’t exactly new as far as trends go, styling this latest edition to my shoe collection proved to be a mission, even with the help of Pinterest because I had absolutely no idea what to do with them- much like the pot roses I was gifted which I really hope won’t die under my loving but inexperienced care. I digress. In light of this uncertainty I went dark. When in doubt wear all black and hide safely behind your monochromatic nature. This is like the training wheels of fashion and also the staple ‘coz black is everything. All day. Everyday. Save for the deviations!
I’ll definitely keep taking my mules for a spin. They still feel weird though but I won’t give up on them just yet!
